Improved And New Features
Compared to its previous versions, the performance,efficiency and memory usage of Snow Leopard have improved considerably. Boot Camp utility in the Snow Leopard, now enabled the Windows partition to read and copy files from HFS+ partitions. Finder, the default file manager on MAC OS X, has been totally redesigned and rewritten in Cocoa to utilize the new technologies. Snow Leopard occupied 7GB less memory than its predecessor Leopard. It integrated Microsoft Exchange into Mail,Address Book and iCal applications. The only drawback is that Snow leopard supports only Microsoft Exchange 2007. Another improved feature is that full multi touch track pad is supported. In the previous version the four finger gesture could not be used. Snow Leopard covers the entire 64 bit applications that use most of the libraries of Mac OS X. The kernel of Snow Leopard has been designed to run in 64 bit mode and support 16 terabytes of Ram on some machines. 64 bit kernel of Snow Leopard will run on Xserve and Mac Pro machines by default.
